BirchBox Unboxing: “Let’s do this” January 2015

DSC_0009

Birchbox just started to ship to Canada in December so I decided to subscribe. I absolutely loved December’s box but I wanted to see the January box before I decided to start up reviews on Birchbox and here we are.

DSC_0011

I absolutely love the packaging and this months message “Let’s do this!” is perfect timing as I’ve been a little bit stressed with my work load this month.

DSC_0015

This months goodies!

Lets take a closer look at the products.

Beauty Protector– Hair Mask.  Full size retails for $30.

The hair mask is given in two small sample containers that are one use each.

I have tried it and not only does it make your hair silky smooth but it also smells delicious!

DSC_0025

Embryolisse- Lait-Creme Concentre– Face Moisturizer. Full size retails for $16-28 (depending on size.)

This moisturizer is great, it has a nice neutral scent that isn’t too strong and applies smoothly without feeling greasy.

DSC_0029

Harvey Prince- Hello Liquid Loofah. Full size retails for $22.

I wasn’t fond of the scent at first but it definitely gets you clean and removes all your dead skin. After 5 minutes out of the shower the scent is worn off enough that it smells good.

DSC_0031

ModelCo- Party Proof Lipstick in the shade Dusk Until Dawn– Full size (set of 3) retails for $20.

Oh this lipstick, it is super smooth and silky to apply.  I also adore this shade (it shows up a little orangey in the photo but it is more a shimmery brown/nude shade.)

DSC_0033

Whish- Shave Cream– Full size retails for $20.

I was really excited to receive this product because I have heard a lot about it and it totally lived up to my expectations. This shave cream is super smooth and works great while shaving. Leaving you silky soft!

Ayres – body butter in the scent “Patagonia” – Retails for $28

This body butter is smooth and silky, I love the smell as well.

IMG_20141015_070437

Épicé – international purifying exfoliant – Retails for $4.99

This is a light exfoliant that has a crisp clean scent, definitely a winner in my books.

IMG_20141015_070514

iENVYbyKISS – lashes – Retails for $4.99

I’m not really a fan of fake eye lashes so I will probably give these away but they look nice so that’s a plus.

IMG_20141015_070455

MicaBeauty – mineral eye shadow – Retails for $14.95

Beautiful green color in a very sparkly shade.  I absolutely love it and it really brings out my green eyes.

IMG_20141015_070534

Starlooks – lip Gloss- Retails for $12.00

I love this color but the formula is very sticky.  It feels like you have glue on your lips.

IMG_20141015_070414

So I liked 4 out of 5 products this month and it is still totally worth the money.

Cheers,

JMaxwell
